Solvexis Consult Coordinate Compulsory Working Environmental Training In Denmark

We are happy to announce, that Solvexis Consult have established a small team to plan, administrate and perform all compulsory working environmental educations needed for both permanent and temporary organisations already working in Denmark or going to do so.  A lot of time in planning, administration and cost can be minimised within the organisations of our existing and future customers. Additionally each client will now be able to optimise their costs because only payment for their actual participants is needed not the entire course.

All administration, planning and guidance is now for Solvexis Consult to manage.  Going forward please have name of required course, name of the participant, the required language and the date required sent to education@solvexis.dk we will do the rest.

Offshore Installation Manager – Wind

We are looking for two experienced Offshore Installation Managers for our offshore renewable team who will take on the management of key client projects with the goal of delivering every project with the highest degree of quality, on time, within budget and scope at the same time secure incident and accident free deliverables. You will be involved in a number of installation activities from managing the work of contractors, participate in sales activities, internal and external meetings with suppliers to direct installation of offshore wind turbines.
 

In addition you can expect the following tasks: 

  • Overall responsible for all offshore installation processes
  • Responsible for sub-project ‘Installation’ with reference to the project manager
  • Responsible for installation of offshore wind turbines in various parts of the world, primarily Europe
  • Responsible for managing the work of contractors, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a cooperative, motivated and successful team
  • Be visible and lead by example regarding EHS standards / procedures and safety at site.
  • Ensure that all EHS incidents and observations are reported and appropriate action is taken.  
  • Conduct daily planning of standard, non-standard work and the required documentation on site according to project schedule.                                                                                                             
  • Responsible for the implementation of workflows and related construction standards.
  • Execute and report on standard and non-standard work according to the work area planning.
  • Ensure that the right experts are assessing tasks outside of standard work if necessary  
  • Contribute to lessons learned activities and continuous improvements on site.

The successful candidates must have:

  • Recognised Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Approx. 3-5 Years Relevant Experience in an Engineering design office
  • Detailed knowledge & experience of safety principles in design
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of working with High Voltage technology
  • Experience in conceptual design and analysis, detailed electrical wiring design and physical layouts
  • Experience in High Voltage protection technology
  • Excellent Communication and Report Writing Skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to make quality decisions and judgments.
  • Show a high level of commitment and flexibility.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car advantageous.

Specific design experience of HV substations with a manufacturer or electricity utility company will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities of the Role

The successful candidate will be required to work in an Electrical Engineer’s role as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering project team based in the office of our customer (Ireland) as part of a design team or on Project construction sites (Ireland, Europe, Middle East etc.).

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Designing new transmission and distribution substations and upgrades/modifications to existing stations
  • Production of electrical control and protection schematics, using advanced design applications such as EPlan
  • Production of physical substation layouts with strong understanding of electrical clearances, design considerations and construction methods
  • Preparing new standard designs
  • Acting in the statutory role of Project Supervisor Design Phase/Principal Designer/CDMC
  • Ensuring full co-ordination of all aspects of the project – civil, electrical, lines, cables, control system, telecoms etc. to target timelines and to highest quality standards
  • Reviewing supplier designs and drawings.
  • Supporting project teams in relation to substation component material and design issues.
  • Fully embracing THE COMPANY Safety Culture and ensuring the employer’s obligations under health and safety legislation are being adhered to.
  • Coordination with other disciplines such as Civil and Mechanical Engineers, Architects and Quantity Surveyors as required, working in a proactive way to deliver high quality projects to Client satisfaction.
  • Project Management including programme management and commercial/contract management

We are pleased to announce that the LTA frequency figure internally as a total for our business from Q3 until end Q4 2015 was 0. This is a result we can be proud of and equals the objectives of our company.

During the same period we have seen only one minor incident within the 16 projects where Solvexis Consult have undertaken consultancy assignments and supported the line management of the clients performing their responsibility within the EHS field. The 16 projects do reflect a total of 120.000 hours performed during Q3 and Q4 2015.
